The prestigious Neptune Beach Festival, Virginia, is the oldest and largest international sand sculpture championship in the United States.      The competition brings together 32 the most talented and agile sand sculptors from around the world every year. By joining together as a team, Karlis Īle and Maija Puncule have won international successes under the Jelgava flag at sand, ice and snow sculpture festivals and championships – in Canada, China, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Latvia and elsewhere.      This time the artists chose to create a sculpture called “Asni” with a surrealistic tendency. 22 tons of sand philosophically pretending that the softest sprouts are the strongest.
